House Fried Rice

Today we will learn how to make a delicious fried rice, which is a perfect recipe to clear the fridge off of rice from the previous day as well as other protein and veggies your fridge might contain. In this recipe we will be using specific ingredients I find suit this dish best, but feel free to substitute the protein and veggies for your preferred options.




Ingredients

  • 150g rice

  • Chorizo

  • 1 Chicken breast

  • 6 Shrimp

  • 1/2 Onion

  • 3 Scalions

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/4 cup Edamame

  • 1 carrot

  • 1/4 cup of mushrooms

  • 2 gloves Miced Garlic

  • 1 tblsp ginger

  • 1 tbsp peper flakes

  • 1 tblsp sesame oil

  • 3 tblsp soy sauce

  • 2 tblsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tblsp chili sauce

  • Japanese mayonnaise


 

Directions

  1. Set pan to medium-high heat

  2. Add chorizo and cook until juices come out and chorizo looks crispy

  3. Add chicken and cook until crispy

  4. Reduce heat to medium heat

  5. Add minced garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds

  6. Add onion and bottom part of the green onion until onion is soft (~4 min)

  7. Add edamame, mushrooms and carrot until cooked (~4 min)

  8. Add rice and mix all together

  9. Make a whole in the middle of the pan and add the eggs and cook them until fully cooked.

  10. Mix everything

  11. Add chili sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce and oyster sauce and mix.

  12. Plate and add top part of green onion, sesame seeds and Japanese mayonnaise as garnish
